What causes the notorious “red-wine-mouth” syndrome?
Ah, the mysterious question. It comes down to two factors (that you need to know about).
The first being, sadly to say fellow wine lovers, genetics, and particularities of your tooth enamel (that’s right, it’s not
your fault). Some of us are more susceptible to staining because our teeth
are more vulnerable during wine consumption due to the acidity of red
wine.
The second reason (and worry not, Sipmate is here to the rescue) is, the nature of the red wine. The higher the tannins in the red pigments of the grape, the more pronounced the discoloration. But worry not, Sipmate has been testing against the boldest, richest, darkest
(and most delicious) of grapes!
